4.    Holiday Activity - In 2009 and 2010 the Club joined the Frederick Club in their "Shop with a Cop" event in which police men and women helped kids shop for gifts at one of the Wal-Marts in Frederick, MD.  Both Clubs helped in wrapping the gifts and then enjoyed lunch with the kids at the Outback in Frederick.  Many thanks to the Frederick Optimist Club, to Wal-Mart and to Outback Restaurant for making this event a success.

In earlier  years, for the holidays the Club adopted a family.  Members bought gifts for the children and gift cards for the adults; then we got together to have fun figuring out how to wrap everything.  The gifts were presented to the family before the holidays.
